| COMPOSITION |
Each capsule contains: Lansoprazole 30 mg. |
| INDICATIONS |
Healing of duodenal ulcer, benign gastric ulcer, reflux oesophagitis, benign peptic lesions unresponsive to H2R.A. and Zollinger Ellison Syndrome. |
| MODE OF ACTION |
Decreases gastric acid secretion by inhibiting H+ K+ ATPase. |
| ONSET OF ACTION |
1 to 2 hours. |
| DURATION OF ACTION |
About 24 hours. |
| ADVERSE EFFECT |
Nausea. vomiting. constipation, epigastric distress, dyspepsia. skin rash. urticaria. arthralgia, depression and peripheral oedema. |
| CONTRAINDICATION |
Hypersensitivity. |
| SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS |
Hepatic failure and possibility of gastric malignancy to be excluded. In pregnancy and lactation and to elderly patient, use with caution. |
| DRUG INTERACTIONS |
Antacid, oral contraceptives, phenytoin, theophylline and warfarin. |
| DOSES |
30 mg. daily, preferably in the morning for 4 to 8 weeks. Maintenance : 15 to 30 mg. daily. |
