| COMPOSITION |
Sodium lodide 1%, Mono basic Calcium Phosphate 0.5%, Chlorocresol IP (as preservative) 0.05%. |
| INDICATIONS |
Initial opacity of eye lens. |
| MODE OF ACTION |
When applied to the eyes, lodine penetrates into the internal chamber and brings the endoocular liquid back to the normal condition which might have altered due to metabolic or lenticular derangements. Monobasic calcium phosphate potentiates the action of lodine and avoids any possible risk of reaction. |
| CONTRAINDICATION |
This treatment is not advisable in presence of inflammatory conditions of the conjunctiva or eye lids, arthritic forms gout, obesity, renal lithiasis, oxaluria. |
| DOSES |
2-3 drops 3-4 times daily or as directed by the physician. Must be followed for 3-6 months uninterupted. |
